Module 2 email task answers

1. What information about a user's email, the origin of a message, and the path it took, can you glean from an email message
- You can find the following information from the email header, user name, domain, location it was sent from and destination address

2. In what cases would you find it useful to use the 'cc', 'bcc' and 'reply all functions of email
- You would use 'cc' and 'bcc' if you wanted to forward your email to more than one recipient

3. In what ways can you ensure that an attachment you send will be easily opened by the receiver
- The best way to make sure a user can open a file you send as an attachment is by asking them if they have the program to open said file. You can also send the email in plain text

4. What sorts of filters or rules do you have set up, and for what purpose?
- I don't have any filters or rules setup in my email program, my ISP filters out most of the spam. I do put received emails in folders to keep them organised

5. How have you organised the folder structure of your email and why?
- I have organised my emails into folders such as 'uni' for uni emails and my other emails are also sorted into specific folders. I did this to make it easier to find certain emails
